Debian Etch boot over iSCSI HOWTO

I’ve finally managed to write down all the steps needed to setup a Debian Etch system to boot over iSCSI without an iSCSI HBA.
These are the needed elements:

a debian Etch system, of course
open-iscsi
an iSCSI target (I’ve used iSCSI Enterprise Target for Linux)
gPXE
